Every reader falls into one of two categories:
Those who struggle through to the bitter end;
. . . and those who don’t.
Here are six books I never finished, and why:
Crime and Punishment (Scary!)
Atlast Shrugged (So What?)
The Red Badge of Courage (Chickened Out)
The Bible (Skipped Some Parts)
Catch-22 (Never Got the Catch)
1984 (Started This Too Late)
Exercise: Are you a finisher or a finicky reader? Write a page about the last book you struggled to read to the end, or the last book you abandoned. This isn’t a review or a report to your book club, just a way of finding our your personal reading style.
