Today is President’s Day in the United States, a day to honor the leaders, past and present, of our country.
No matter our political affiliation, it’s an interesting idea to reflect on what we would do if elected President. What major change would we make? What would we be proud to have revealed about our private life, and what would we hope the media wouldn’t unearth?
Now we can turn that idea to ourselves. Gandhi said, ‘Be the change you want to see in the world.’ We’re all the presidents of our own lives, and we can make changes, minor or major, that will last longer than four or even eight years.
Exercise: What one positive change would you like to see made in the US? Write a page about how that change could be applied, in even a small way, into your daily life.
